The rule states that if you obtained Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) status before reaching the age of 20 and you are currently an OCI holder above the age of 20, you must apply for a new OCI booklet if the passport number on your OCI does not match your current passport. It is important to note that without the new OCI booklet, you will not be able to travel. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that your passport number is updated in your OCI to avoid any travel restrictions.
